Home Presentation As a result of the Commandery's earlier fund-raising activities, a donation of $13,600
was made to the Pathway Home on November 18. The Pathway Home in Yountville provides a valuable residential treatment facility for young veterans and is funded by charitable donations
like ours.

The Commandery also presented funds to the NCEFT facility in Palo Alto in October to provide a specially equipped horse carriage which would allow veterans with mobility
difficulties to take part in the hippotherapy program to aid their rehabilitation. In his letter of appreciation for this
contribution the Executive Director of NCEFT stated they will place a plaque on the carriage "that commemorates the Order
of St. John and its commitment to our nation's heroes". ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wounded Warriors Polo Benefit 2010
On June 20 the Commandery hosted a polo
benefit to raise funds for rehabilitation facilities for veterans in the San Francisco Bay area. The event was held at the
Trione polo field in Santa Rosa, where an elegant crowd of 500 sat down to picnic or a catered lunch while watching fast polo
and listening to live music, or visited the silent auction. Wine tasting and food pairing, donated by local purveyors, provided
popular side attractions. At half time spectators were treated to an impressive carriage driving display, then "stomped
divots" while being served Chandon champagne from a carriage on the field. For additional details visit the event web site: www.WoundedWarriorsPoloBenefit.org More event photos by Christine George at www.ChristineGeorge.com

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Investiture
2010 The 2010 Investiture was held May 27 at the Main Post Chapel in the Presidio, welcoming three new Knights
and one Dame to the strength of the Commandery. The Investiture was conducted by the Commandery Chaplain, Rev. Palmer Wilkins.
After the ceremony the Knights and their guests were led out of the Chapel by the bagpipes - and later led into dinner at
the St. Francis Yacht Club by the same. 150 guests sat down to the black-tie dinner, took part in the fund raising effort
through the silent auction, and danced to a swing band until late. The dinner and fund raising effort were superbly
organized by Dame Barbara Weghorn.
