to Sentinels of Freedom to support rehabilitation of wounded veterans. The presentation was made at a lunch at the Blackhawk
Country Club attended by 32 Knights, Dames and guests. The lunch was followed by a private tour of the Blackhawk Country Club. Sentinels Of Freedom provides assistance with housing, education, job training, and mentoring to selected wounded

Wounded Warriors Polo
Benefit, 9/11/11
On the 10th anniversary of
the 9/11 attacks, the Commandery organised and ran the 2nd Wounded Warriors Polo Benefit.
This event took place at the Menlo Polo Club in Atherton. Among the guests were veterans of campaigns from World War
II to Afghanistan. Highlights of the day included two fast polo games, a carriage driving display, a champagne divot stomp
and ladies' hat competition, wine tasting and a silent auction. Lunch was served by the Menlo Circus Club. Funds raised from
this event are earmarked for the veterans' rehabilitation program at NCEFT and for Quality of Life Plus developing high technology custom prostheses for veterans. Commandery members were grateful to be assisted by the many volunteers
who helped plan and run this benefit. More photos may be seen at the event web site: www.WoundedWarriorsPoloBenefit.org
